MD Tyson was sired by Millduck Oregon the celebrated winner of over 30 broad ribbons in the highly competitive Australian show system. MD Oregon also boasts an amazing pedigree that includes: Jarrah, Conquistador, Highlander, Ultimo, Auzengate and Brigantine.

While MD Tyson’s dam is Banksia Park Disco Rose a classy AAA National Show winner herself and has a genetic background that includes: Warrior, Khan ET and Challenger. We are lucky to have so many outstanding genetics in the one package.

MD Tyson’s great pedigree, particularly in the darker colours, adds a new layer of genetic diversity to the Waratah Flats coloured herd and we are already seeing the results.

We are impressed by MD Tyson beautiful rich brown fleece which maintains good crimp and lustre, along with a soft handle. He also displays an incredibly dense fleece with a long staple length and excellent uniformity. All this is often difficult to find together in one combination and we are looking forward to weaving these traits into our fine fleeced coloured herd.

His show results are proof

MD Tyson has already established a fine show record in Australia winning the Junior Brown Male class at all of his first three shows – including the Sydney Royal. He was also part of the successful Sire’s Progeny team for Millduck Orogen. The timing of his importation, quarantine, shearing, etc, means that we not yet shown him in NZ.

Now standing at stud

MD Tyson is now DNA tested and certified as a qualified AANZ breeding male. He already has a number of stunning offspring on the ground here in NZ and is producing a range of colours from light fawn through to bay black.
He is now available for outside matings. We would be happy to show you his offspring at Waratah Flats and talk to you about your breeding plan.
